APM's incredible ED-APO Binoculars feature extra-low dispersion, apochromatic lenses for higher contrast, pure colour reproduction and improved magnification.
With 2x 100mm objective lenses, views are incredible for both solar system and deep-sky objects such as nebulae and galaxies. Expect incredible detail when viewing the Moon with a real sense of three-dimensionality, or dive in to open clusters with the spectacular resolution and clarity that can only be obtained from a large refractive binocular system.
Don't forget, you can swap eyepieces too - this set comes with APM's standard 18mm eyepieces for general viewing, plus an additional pair of BAADER Morpheus 76-degree 3.5mm eyepieces for close-up views of the Moon and planets.
Experience the relaxed observing style that only comes with the use of both eyes - the subjective image resolution and image stability both increase significantly!
APM's ED APO binoculars with 100mm aperture are universal devices for astronomical and earth observation. The 90° viewing position enables comfortable and ergonomic observation of both low- and high-altitude objects.
The apochromatic objective lenses, made with ED glasses, enable pure, realistic images with very high contrast. The optical performance is impressive. To ensure that everything is weatherproof, the stable die-cast magnesium body is nitrogen-filled. Extendable dew caps protect the lenses from dew condensation even during long periods of observation and can be used as a stray light hood for daytime observations.
Of course, these binoculars have a tripod connection and a strong, robust handle.
Tripod & Mount
This incredible binocular comes complete with a beautiful Berlebach UNI 19C Tripod in 'Natur' colour, topped with APM's own binocular fork mount.
Not just any tripod, the UNI 19C is a beautifully-constructed Ash wood tripod that is fantastically sturdy, providing the ideal base for a large binocular such as the APM. The tripod also extends to well over six feet in height, allowing any user to have the binocular at a convenient height for viewing the heavens and indeed the Earth.
APM's custom-made swinging fork mount matches that beautiful construction, placing the binocular's centre of gravity squarely over the centre, providing comfortable viewing and maintaining its position at any angle from horizon to zenith.
